What and why
Telescope's assessment pages are for real estate companies that need to assess and reduce climate-related risk across a property portfolio. They cover three risks, each with its own page and assessment flow:
Climate risk: how physical hazards like flooding and landslides could affect each building.
Transition risk: how each building performs on energy, and where it stands against compliance requirements.
Nature risk: how each building affects the surrounding nature.
These pages are not only for reporting. They are where your team does the work: running assessments, creating transition plans, recording measures, and tracking progress. The result is fully documented assessments that meet EU Taxonomy requirements.
How each page works
Each risk has its own page, and each page shows your whole portfolio for that risk. A summary line at the top tells you where the portfolio stands, for example "4 of 15 complete, 5 in progress, 6 not started." Below it, properties are grouped into sections by what needs doing, not alphabetically. The section that needs the most attention is open at the top, and settled properties collapse at the bottom with a count, so you can see how much is left without scrolling.
Assessments happen at the property level. Open a property from the list to start or continue its assessment for that risk.
Moving through your properties
When you open a property from a section, you do not have to go back to the table to reach the next one. Use the up and down arrows to move to the next or previous property in the same list, with a counter, for example "3 / 15," showing where you are. A back button, labeled with the section you came from, returns you to that list with your place kept.
Filtering to your properties
You can narrow any page to the properties you care about. Filter by portfolio or by manager, or turn on "My properties" to see only the ones assigned to you. Filters work together, so you can combine them, and the list updates as you go.
Good to know
The pages combine Telescope's automated data, such as exposure mapping, hazard zones, and climate scenarios, with your team's knowledge of the buildings. That combination is what the EU Taxonomy requires for a complete climate risk and vulnerability assessment.
You do not need to be a climate expert. The automated steps handle the data-heavy parts, and your team adds knowledge about building characteristics, sensitivity, and local context.
