Logging in for the first time

To get access to Telescope, you need an invitation from your organization's admin. Here's what happens:

  1. You receive an invitation email from Telescope

  2. Click the link in the email

  3. Create your account by entering your email and choosing a password

  4. Set up two-factor authentication (2FA). This is required for all users. You'll see a QR code on screen. Open an authenticator app on your phone (such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator) and scan the code from within the app. Important: use the authenticator app to scan, not your phone's camera app. The camera app will not work for this step.

  5. Enter the code from the authenticator app to verify, and you're in

The invitation link expires after two weeks. If it has expired, ask your organization's admin to resend it.

Logging in after setup

Once your account is created, go to app.telescope.eco and log in with your email, password, and 2FA code.

If you've forgotten your password, use the reset link on the login page. Your 2FA setup stays the same.

Don't have access yet?

You can only access Telescope through an invitation. If you haven't received one, contact your organization's admin and ask them to invite you. If you're not sure who the admin is, reach out to us through the chat and we'll help you get connected.

Navigating the platform

Once you're logged in, the main navigation is on the left side of the screen. What you see depends on your organization's subscription, but here are the main areas:

  • Screening is where you screen individual properties for climate risk. Enter an address or property number to get the Telescope risk score and exposure levels for each hazard. You can download results as PDF, organize properties into folders, and see concentration risk and properties above a risk threshold at portfolio level. Banks, insurers, and real estate investors typically use this as their primary tool.

  • Voyager is the full assessment and management module for real estate companies. Work through climate risk (CRVA), transition risk, and biodiversity and nature risk assessments. Get recommendations on whether mitigation measures are needed, plan and assign measures to team members, and track progress. The portfolio overview shows value at risk based on property values.

  • Portfolio is where you manage and analyze your uploaded property portfolios. You can see aggregated risk data, filter by risk level, and export reports.

  • Analytics provides portfolio-level dashboards and concentration risk views.

Getting started quickly

The fastest way to get familiar with the platform depends on what you're here to do.

If you're screening properties (banks, insurers, or quick checks):

  1. Go to Map

  2. Type an address or property number (matrikkel) in the search field

  3. Select the correct property from the results

  4. Review the screening results, including the risk score and individual hazard exposures

If you're doing assessments (real estate companies using Voyager):

  1. Go to your portfolio

  2. Select the property you want to assess

  3. On the property page, choose which assessment to start: climate risk, transition risk, or biodiversity

Good to know

What you see in the platform depends on your organization's subscription and user role. Some features, like portfolio analytics or taxonomy tools, may not be available to all users. If you think you're missing something, check with your organization's admin.
