What and why
Sometimes you need to assess climate risk for more than just a single property. The draw analysis tool lets you define a custom area on the map and get a climate risk analysis for all properties within it. This is useful for evaluating a neighborhood, a development site, a cluster of properties, or any geographic area you're interested in.
How it works
Go to the screening tool and open the map view
Click the draw area tool
Click on the map to place your first point
Continue clicking to place additional points and define the shape of your area
Close the shape by clicking on the first point
Click "Analyze"
Telescope will analyze all properties within the drawn area and show the results.
Once the analysis is complete, you can:
Rename the area on the right side panel to give it a recognizable name
Save the area to a folder if you want to keep track of it
Good to know
You can create multiple drawn areas and save them to different folders. This is useful if you're comparing different locations or tracking several development sites.
The analysis uses the same data and methodology as individual property screenings. The difference is that you get results for all properties in the area at once, rather than screening them one by one.
